Halloween is right around the corner and with it comes the opportunity to have lots of fun with decorations, costumes, and party food. We put together a list of seven foods to make for your Halloween party that won’t break the bank and are super easy but are sure to serve up lots of tricks AND treats!
1. Roasted Mummy Brie
Who doesn’t love a wheel of ooey-gooey, melty brie? This spooky take on a classic party food fave is a must-have for your Halloween table.
Simply wrap a wheel of brie in strips of puff pastry and use two slices of black olives for eyes. Bake, serve with crackers, and you’re good to go. Get the recipe from Delish.com.
2. Ghost Pizza Bagels
Giant Food Stores has a great recipe for a Halloween version of everyone’s favorite freezer snack: pizza bagels! It’s as easy as using a ghost-shaped cookie cutter (or any Halloween-themed shape) on the slices of cheese, then placing them along with a dollop of pizza sauce on a mini bagel, and baking.
3. Jack O’ Lantern Quesadillas
Is there anything more budget friendly than a recipe that consists of only two ingredients: cheese and tortillas? While quesadillas are sure to be a hit no matter the season, giving your quesadillas the jack o’ lantern treatment is sure to impress. Check out the recipe from One Little Project.
4. Pumpkin Patch Brownies
Staying on brand with our promise to give you easy and budget-friendly party food ideas, these brownies are long on flavor (and strong on theme) but short on effort and cost. Simply whip up a batch of your favorite boxed brownies, drizzle with green icing to make vines, and top with candy corn pumpkins. This recipe from Delish takes it one step further with crumbled chocolate cookies to mimic dirt.
5. Dirt Pudding
This childhood classic is a perfect dessert to have on your Halloween table. Layers of chocolate pudding and crumbled chocolate sandwich cookies topped with squirmy gummy worms is a guaranteed hit. Add candy hands, edible candy bones, and a mini grave marker to up the creepy factor. The Spruce has a great Dirt Pudding recipe that you can customize to your Halloween-loving heart’s content.
6. Spiderweb Layered Dip
Seven-layer taco dip is an evergreen party fave, and with one simple addition, it’ll fit perfectly on your Halloween party menu. This recipe from Palatable Pastime builds a traditional layered dip with a sour cream spiderweb to top it all off.
7. Pumpkin Cheese Ball
Complete your Halloween party spread with this clever take on a classic. The Food Network provides a tasty recipe for a cheese ball that’s chilled then rolled in crushed nacho cheese-flavored chips and topped with the stem from a bell pepper so it looks like you just plucked this cheese ball from the pumpkin patch. Serve with crackers, veggies, or tortilla chips and you’re set.
