Pennsylvania is the proud host of one of the greatest exhibits in the country, the Pennsylvania Farm Show. Yearly, people have the privilege of not only tasting some of the most delicious foods but knowing that their food purchases will go toward helping each organization further its mission. What greater way to celebrate the roots of the Pennsylvania Farm Show than by looking at some of the most iconic and sought-after foods served at this event?
PA State Beekeepers Association (PSBA)
The PSBA is focused on promoting beekeeping, honeybees, and honey products. The Pennsylvania Farm Show is the perfect platform for the group to gather yearly and educate the thousands of attendees about bees and the many products made from the fruits of their labor. The PSBA will be returning this year to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth. Here are some of the treats they will be offering:
- Honey ice cream
- Honey waffles
- Waffles topped with ice cream and a drizzle of honey if you’re feeling spontaneous
PA Co-Operative Potato Growers
This organization is the glue between potato growers and buyers. This group has made it their mission to provide farmers with the latest information on current trends and processes in the world of potatoes. Every year at the Pennsylvania Farm Show, they look to bring some of those premium potato products for guests to try. Money earned during the week will go toward promoting and marketing premium potatoes sold in PA. The PA Potato Growers have one of the most anticipated stands, and Farm Show visitors can look forward to getting their annual fix of tasty tubers such as:
- Baked sweet potatoes, for those who prefer a sweeter alternative with a generous sprinkling of brown sugar
- Fresh-cut french fries
- Potato donuts
Check out more of what they will be offering.
PA Dairymen’s Association
This association has been serving milkshakes at the Pennsylvania Farm Show since 1953, and this year they celebrate their 70th birthday of being a staple at this event. The PA Dairymen Association has partnered up with Feeding PA and local food banks to raise funds for Fill a Glass with Hope. The funds raised by this initiative go towards providing food banks with the resources to purchase fresh milk directly from their local dairies. This year, PSECU will once again be a PA Grand Champion Sponsor of the campaign. Stop by and celebrate the Dairymen’s continuous support to the Pennsylvania community by checking out their stand:
- Milkshakes (vanilla, chocolate, mix, & orange cream *New*)
- White/Chocolate milk
- Ice cream sundaes and cones
The full menu can be found on their site.
PA Livestock Association
This association is a vital link for all livestock-related businesses. Their efforts extend far beyond preserving Pennsylvania’s agriculture. Their extensive menu of delicious meat is a must-stop:

PA Maple Syrup Producers Council
Pennsylvania’s forests are home to many species of trees, but its sweetest tree is the sugar maple. The sap from this tree is used to produce maple syrup, making it one of the most unique trees in the United States. The council is one of the proud producers of this sweet and rare product, and to make sure that the rest of the state is aware of this luxury, they work to promote this incredibly special product. Do not miss the chance to taste some of the nation’s sweetest maple-smothered foods:
- Maple sundaes
- Maple frozen yogurt
- Maple cotton candy
Check out what other sweet items will be available.
PA Mushroom Farmers
Mushrooms are the perfect topping for any meal, whether it be on a pizza, in a salad, or stuffed on its own. PA’s mushrooms get better and better thanks to the efforts of local mushroom growers. This year, they return with old favorites along with new foods to their menu:
