PSECU Expands Hours at Full-Service Financial Education Center at Penn State University

Harrisburg, PA – August 19, 2024PSECU, Pennsylvania's digital-first credit union, is proud to announce the expanded hours of its full-service financial education center at Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania. Located conveniently on campus, this center will be fully operational starting today, August 19, with an open house event running through August 23, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily.

Designed to serve the diverse financial needs of Penn State students, faculty, staff, and the State College community, the financial education center offers a comprehensive suite of services to empower members’ financial well-being. Notably, the center will be open five days a week, providing consistent and accessible support for PSECU members.

The center is equipped to handle a wide range of financial needs, ensuring that PSECU members have access to the following services:

  • Account Maintenance: Assistance with name and address changes, adding or closing shares such as checking or money market accounts, and general account updates.
  • Digital Banking Support: Help with online and mobile banking, including first-time access, unlocking accounts, setting up bill payments, and making mobile deposits.
  • Loan and Application Support: Complete new account and loan applications with the help of staff using member PCs, iPads, or traditional paper forms. This includes support for auto loans, personal loans, and more.
  • Mortgage Services: A dedicated mortgage originator is available on-site every Wednesday and Friday to assist with mortgage applications, first-time homebuyer programs, and refinancing options.
  • Specialized Services: Assistance with financial planning through PSECU Financial Services (PFS), including wealth management consultations and support with CD and IRA accounts.
  • Document Assistance: Help with completing forms, ordering checks, picking up documents, and processing requests for official member letters such as account verification or routing letters.
  • Referral Services: Connect members with other departments for specialized needs, such as loan services, deceased member accounts, or legal processes.

During the open house week, attendees can explore these services firsthand, with on-site staff available to answer questions and provide demonstrations.
