Payments and Transfers
Need to Move or Send Money? You’ve Got Options.
Transferring funds to and from your PSECU account is a breeze with 24/7 digital banking access. Have questions? The tips below can help you get started.
You can make loan payments with money in your PSECU account or set up automatic payments from an account at another financial institution to pay your PSECU loans (except a mortgage).
Move Money Between Accounts
Our 24/7 digital banking options make it easy to move funds between your PSECU account and an account you own at another financial institution. We call this an external transfer. Watch the video below for instructions on how to get started.
-
Instant verification allows you to quickly link your PSECU account to an account you own at another financial institution. The tool we, and many other financial institutions, use to do this is called Plaid. Please note: if the financial institution you’re looking to link your account to doesn’t use Plaid, you’ll have to use manual verification to connect the accounts.
Link your accounts in 3 easy steps:
- 1. Log in to your PSECU account. In digital banking, select Transfers and then External Accounts. Then choose Add External Account and use the Instant Verification option.
- 2. Link your accounts. During Instant Verification, choose the financial institution where you own another account and follow the instructions to confirm your account information.
- 3. Transfer. Your accounts are linked! You can now move money within minutes.

If you can’t use Plaid for instant verification, you’ll need to complete a manual verification process to link your PSECU account to an account you own at another financial institution. This is done using a small deposit made to and then reversed from your other account by PSECU. You’ll need the following information about your other account to get started:
- Routing number
- Account number
- Account type (checking or savings)
How do I verify the small deposit to my external account?
- 1. Log into your PSECU account. In digital banking, select Transfers, then External Accounts, and finally Add External Account. Choose the Manual Verification option.
- 2. Enter information. Input the routing number, your account number, and the type of account you’d like to connect.
- 3. Verify. Once the small deposit shows up in your other account, log into PSECU’s digital banking and navigate back to the External Accounts page. Tap on the external account with the Pending Verification status on the transfer’s screen and follow the on-screen prompts. Note: It can take up to three business days for you to see the small deposit in the other account.
- 4. Transfer. You can now easily move money between your linked accounts.
